É«×ۺϾþà University has announced Dr. Matthew Laurent as the new dean of its College of Health and Human Services. Laurent comes to SU after seven years at Tarleton State University, having served in roles ranging from Health and Human Performance department head in 2014 to dean of the School of Health and Clinical Professions since 2022. He began his tenure at É«×ۺϾþà on January 8.

The É«×ۺϾþà University Baseball team got up bright and early to serve eggs, pancakes and hot coffee to those in need at É«×ۺϾþÃ's Hope and Life Outreach (HALO) Ministries shelter. The team arrived at 6 a.m. to start preparing, and folks were lining up by 7:30 a.m. to receive their breakfast.

Perdue School of Business, discusses steps drivers can take to avoid and reduce points against their driving records.

É«×ۺϾþà University’s proposed downtown É«×ۺϾþà performing arts center got a big boost with the announcement of $2 million in grant funding from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for planning and pre-construction. The project was awarded $1 million in Fiscal Year 2025 State Revitalization Program funds through the department, which also committed funding for another $1 million in the Fiscal Year 2026 round.

É«×ۺϾþà University’s 2024 fall graduating class has made history after walking across the stage at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center for the last time surrounded by friends and family. During the Dec. 18 ceremony, 405 undergraduate students received bachelor’s degrees. Some 75 graduates received master’s degrees, with five receiving doctoral degrees. The 485 graduates who earned their degrees Dec. 18 are slated to be the last class to participate in a fall commencement ceremony, as university officials plan to return to a spring-only format in 2025.

É«×ۺϾþà University’s Mid-Atlantic Sales and Marketing Institute (MASMI) team recently placed second overall in William Paterson University’s 17th annual National Sales Challenge. Team members Nathan Powers and Olivia Totaro recently discussed their accomplishment on 47 ABC's "Emerging Leaders" segment. Part of SU’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, MASMI serves as a research and academic center for professional selling. The program prepares students for leadership and career opportunities in sales and marketing in collaboration with industry partners.
