Interdisciplinary Lecture Series

The Fulton School of Liberal Arts supports this weekly series, featuring expert faculty from across the University who connect their disciplinary perspectives to a broader topic. Although the lectures connect with each other throughout the semester, each Monday’s presentation and discussion stands on its own, and no prior attendance is required. Members of both the campus and the community are welcome to attend. The lectures are also available as a one-credit pass/fail course with no prerequisites (as IDIS 205).

IDIS 205 Changing Climate/Changing World Inequalities and Sustainability

Spring 2025

IDIS 205 Changing Climate/Changing World Inequalities and Sustainability

Mondays 7-8:30 p.m. • Henson Science Hall 103

Participants may register as SU students for 1-credit (IDIS 205 – 151, 2309) or take for free without credit.

These weekly presentations approach a wide range of topics with a focus on interconnections among natural and social systems, including strategies to improve ecological integrity, social equity and human well-being. Some evenings the focus is on local issues or projects; other evenings have a geographically broader or distant origin. Presenters include faculty with diverse academic backgrounds as well as local business and non-profit leaders. Time for audience participation is always reserved and encouraged. Join the series for one lecture or all.
